Q: Will I need to be home for the entire project?

That is a personal preference, but not required.  Majority of the time customers are not home while the project is in progress.  We will accommodate to your schedule accordingly and make arrangement prior to the start date for access to your home.

Q: Is there a certain time frame I should expect my exterior paint job to last?

While there is many factors that can effect how long a quality paint job should last, the usual time line is 5-7 years.  The main factor in this will be the quality of the paint used as well as the quality of the craftsman who applies the paint.

Pearl Finish:

A medium gloss that maintains high durability. Both beautiful and easy to clean, lends dimension to trim while being optimal for walls in high-traffic areas.


Q:  I have wood rot on my home.  Can your company repair this?

Yes, we repair wood rot prior to painting.  If there is any wood rot found at the time of an estimate this will be incorporated and noted in the price.  Upon arrival, our crew leaders will do a thorough inspection as well.  If any additional wood rot is found, we will notify you right away to see how you would like to proceed.

Q: What brands of paint to you use?

We typically use Sherwin Williams and Benjamin Moore products.

Satin/Egg-Shell:

Slight gloss, offers the benefits of flat with added washability. Ideals for: halls, children’s bedrooms, family rooms, and various types of woodwork. 


Velvet:

Cross between a flat and satin. Minor sheen with a beautiful subtle look. 


High Gloss:

The shiniest finish available.


Q: Will my drywall be repaired prior to painting?

All nail pops, settlement cracks, and major imperfections will be repaired and sanded prior to painting.  Lights will not be used to illuminate walls prior to painting.  All repairs will be done according to PDCA standards. 

Matte:

Non-reflective appearance helps to conceal surface imperfections while providing some washability.

Q: What protection is used for my property while the painting is in progress?

All ground areas were the painting is in progress will be protected using drop cloths.  Any patio furniture or furniture on the ground level will either be moved out of the way or covered using drop cloths.

Q: How many workers will be working on the exterior?

Typically, depending on the size of the project and the scope of work, we will send a crew of 3-4 workers.  If we are power washing prior to painting, you can expect 1-2 workers.

Q: What do I need to do to for the painters arrival?

EXTERIOR: There is not much you need to do to prepare for exterior painting. We will move all furniture of off decks and patios.  We do ask for windows to be left unlocked if we are painting windows as well as doors.
